The OpenAI–Apple partnership is not a model licensing or co-development arrangement, but a deep system-level integration built on OpenAI’s API. ChatGPT will be embedded as a discrete module within Apple’s operating systems, accessible from native apps including Siri, Messages, and Mail — enabled only upon explicit user activation and disabled by default.
